Sourav Ganguly Sourav Ganguly is a former Indian cricketer, who retired as India's most successful Test captain of his time. He was left handed batsman by choice and right handed bowler.  An Indian cricket administrator, commentator,  TV anchor and former national cricket team captain Sourav Chandidas Ganguly, or Sourav Gangopadhyay affectionately known as Dada is the 39th and current president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India on 23rd October, 2019. Also he is popularly honoured as Maharaja of Indian Cricket. Before being elected as the President of BCCI, he was the President of Cricket Association of Bengal,  governing body for cricket in West Bengal, India.
